Camping in Normandy

Looking for a campsite in Normandy for your next vacation? From the cliffs of the Côte d’Albâtre to Mont Saint-Michel and the D-Day beaches, Normandy is a region with many facets. Our campsite in Étretat is an ideal destination for exploring the Normandy coast and its hinterland. Fully-equipped mobile homes or traditional pitches , a natural ambience between land and sea, activities and entertainment for families: everything you need for a great vacation in Normandy!

Must-sees near your Normandy campsite

Étretat is just a few minutes’ drive from our Normandy campsite. Admire the Porte d’Aval, theAiguille and the Manneporte from the pebble beach or by taking the paths that climb the cliffs. One morning is all it takes to do the whole tour.

Then head up the Côte d’Albâtre to Fécamp and its abbey. The fishing port retains its authenticity, with trawlers and morning fish markets. The Palais Bénédictine tells the story of this local liqueur in a surprising neo-Gothic decor.

Heading due south now. Head for Honfleur and its Vieux Bassin. Half-timbered houses are reflected in the water of the harbor, art galleries line the cobbled streets, and the wooden frame of Sainte-Catherine church unfolds. Enjoy lunch on a terrace overlooking the boats before heading off to Deauville and Trouville. These seaside resorts on the Côte Fleurie line up their colorful parasols on the fine sand.

Drive west to Bayeux. The famous 70-metre Bayeux Tapestry depicts William the Conqueror‘s conquest of England. The cathedral and narrow streets of the historic center complete this cultural stopover. You are now on the doorstep of the Normandy landing beaches.

Omaha Beach is a major site on your Normandy camping holiday. The American cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer lines up 9,387 white crosses facing the ocean. You’ll be overcome with emotion. Then on to Utah Beach, the bunkers of the Atlantic Wall and the D-Day museums , which bring to life the events of June 6, 1944. This immersion in history leaves a lasting impression.

Last stop to the west: Mont Saint-Michel, between the Norman Cotentin peninsula and Brittany. The medieval abbey, a UNESCO World Heritage site, stands in the middle of its bay, accessible by road through the polders. Leave early to enjoy the site before the crowds arrive. The tides transform the landscape in a matter of hours, as the sea retreats and then returns to surround the Mont. Climb the cobbled streets to the“Wonder of the West” perched at the summit.
